AMA National Motocross-

The 2012 AMA National Motocross Championship series continues this Saturday in Delmont, Pennsylvania, with the FMF Steel City National. On the schedule since 1989, this traditional Labor Day Holiday weekend event is a favorite of the fans and racers alike. With only one round of the series remaining after Steel City, everyone is looking for a top finish to head into the off season.

The Bel-Ray backed Rockstar Energy Racing Suzuki team of Blake Wharton, Jason Anderson and Martin Davalos have been putting in good finishes in the 250 class each weekend. Coming into Steel City, Wharton is seventh and Anderson is eighth in the series standings. Despite missing several rounds due to injury, Davalos is inside the top twenty in eighteenth. Other Bel-Ray racers scheduled to compete in the 250 class this weekend are Reed and Reese Racing’s AJ Catanzaro, Yamaha privateer Steve Roman, and MXPTV’s Ty Wozney.

In 450 class racing, Bel-Ray backed Chaparral Honda racer Andrew Short arrives at Steel City third overall in the points standings. Known for his consistent finishes, Short was third overall at the previous round in Unadilla and is always considered a threat at a podium finish. Joining Short in the 450 class are Bel-Ray Elite racers Driven to Ride’s Derek Anderson and KPS-backed Dakota Kessler. Kessler comes to Steel City following a personal best national finish of twenty-fifth overall in Unadilla. Other Bel-Ray Elite racers scheduled to compete this weekend are Ronnie Stewart, Dustin Kendall, Tucker Saye, Robert Malkiewicz, Anthony Roth, and Greg Pamart.
